So its been a LONG time since I have posted ANYTHING. Primarily because if I have a moment to do anything not on the to do list, I am resting/sleeping. I stopped blogging right around the time I found out I was pregnant! So, lets start there...
We now have 48 days and counting until the big arrival. I am 32 weeks now and have had a COMPLETELY different pregnancy than the first. When I say different, I mean first trimester was the stereotypical trimester - I threw up a lot, couldn't stay awake beyond 6pm and was miserable. Made me a fun mom/wife for those 3 months. On top of it all, you can't have a glass of wine!! :) The second tri was way better. Still tired though, but I attribute that to this time around being a mom to a 5 year old with all sorts of activities. Still couldn't stay up past 6pm. So in this third trimester, with the pattern of being different, I am still kicking! For all my Kansas friends, this means no bed rest so far, still wearing my rings and the shoes I wore yesterday had heals instead of velcro! And this is 32 weeks! I am proud to say I am only at 26 pounds gained instead of the 60 by this time with the first (all water I swear!)With all the differences, I was SURE it was a girl. NOPE, another bouncing baby boy! And he sure does bounce...all day long. He is already HUGE, so there is something the same. His head is enormous, another similarity. Oh and the sonogram pics look just like E. Which means, another mini M with no resemblance to me - at all. I just get a surgical scar to prove I did give birth to them. So, that is an update on the biggest (no pun intended) thing in our lives.
Over the summer we bought a vacation home in Florida. We have been a couple of times and boy was it fun to furnish! E loves it there and it makes vacationing so much less stressful. No reservations, no eating fast food all the time, and can pick up and go whenever we want. Pure relaxation. It was a great investment for both financial returns and family time. Can't wait until spring break!
E has been pretty active this spring through fall. We concentrate on lacrosse and soccer and he is having a blast at both. This fall he was on an all boy 6 year old team for soccer. They had practices and games instead of just show up on saturday and play type of "games. This fall, he also moved up to U9 lacrosse - full pads and contact. He is the youngest and smallest but holds his own. He is like a bull out there and has the skill to compete. He had his first real game this halloween weekend and the boys did AWESOME. I was so proud of the young guys. Our high school is going to dominate when they get there. :)
E started kindergarten this year. He was so excited - for the bus stop. All his pals from the culdesac are at the bus stop so it is social hour for him at 715am. I'm not gonna lie - it is for the moms too. :) He has excelled in school and is so happy to go. He does NOT like getting up, but he loves his teacher, class and work. Let's hope it lasts longer than Kindergarten!
Which brings me to this past weekend - E's 6th birthday. I can't believe how time flies. He is growing so fast. Sometimes, he is such a grown up, and others, he is still his mommy's little boy. He goes outside to play with the big kids and yet holds my hand when we walk anywhere. I love this age, but then I say that about every age. :)
That is pretty much all! nothing crazy happening, but thought I would start this back up. I have missed posting pics and actually taking pictures! Pregnancy is hard and tiring. Some key pics are below from the last 7 months.
and now back to our regularly scheduled program... promise I will be better about posting for the 2 followers I have. :)
